This is one of our most popular programs, designed for teen actors of all skill levels who want to spend the day doing what they love – camera acting, auditioning training, acting games and creative exercises that includes developing a group performance that emphasizes character and scenario development. An intensive week of work to sharpen your skills! 
About this course….
This course is broken into two sections. (A and B) Each session can be taken separately or together for the full day intensive acting workout! Weather you’re a beginner or a veteran actor the material and instructors will push and challenge you! This year there is twice as much time on the floor as last year!
Session A (9am – 12pm) “Working on Camera Fundamentals” (15 hours)
On stage or on screen there are certain principles, fundamental basics about what we do. Using a variety of methods from physical “games” and exercises, this class offers further insight into the craft of acting for camera. This course is suitable for all actors no matter their skill level or experience. Focusing on the needs of acting for the camera. Performance size, vocal technique, hitting marks and other technical skills are explored. Principles examined in the morning session are put on their feet, as participants bring their performances to the screen.
Session B (12:30 - 4:30) “Screen Acting – Audition to Performance” (20 hours)
This session looks at refining the skills of both auditioning and performance for camera. With hands on scene work recorded and uploaded to a private web link each day, the actor can see their progress across the week and at the end of the course have a record of their work. Working with scripts from current film and TV shows, actors will be taught the basis of preparing a side for an audition and then taking it in front of the camera. Text Analysis, working with other actors, taking direction, building a sense of relationship, relaxation and intimacy along with a host of other practical tools and tips are explored. This course builds on the mornings work and expands many of the ideas introduced in session A.
As part of this program you will have a final day presentation for friends, family and invited industry guests. This one fills up fast (and we get lots of out-of-province enrollment) so it’s never too early to sign up!
